Jaguar S-Type

We offer this lovely example of the S Type Jaguar with a huge history file which includes photographic evidence of a previous bare metal respray.  The general body is in excellent order but the sills are starting to show signs of requiring minor attention again.  The red leather interior is in very good order and the manual gearbox and overdrive work very well. The engine is very smooth and eager to please with excellent oil pressure. The car comes with a full 12 month mot without a single thing required to pass.  We have recently carried out a service and replaced the brake master cylinder and also serviced the carburettors.

The car has had one or two more modern upgrades including a power steering conversion, electric choke, and lead free head conversion, electronic ignition, halogen headlamps, and a stainless steel exhaust. The general condition is good but still offers bits and pieces to tinker with and improve.  With the silly prices being asked for the MK2 Jaguar models, the S type models are predicted to follow suit and appreciate in value, with certain cars already being offered at prices in excess of £45,000; and one point of note, Jaguar actually introduced this car as an upmarket version of the MK2 and is much preferred by many enthusiasts.

The car has only covered 7230 documented miles in the last 16 years with only 812 miles since the year 2000. We acquired the vehicle last year.  The previous doctor owner purchased the car as a wedding car for his daughter and proceeded to keep the vehicle for a further 12 years.  The car comes complete with a Jaguar Heritage certificate.

Although this car is for sale, we will have a white S Type on our hire fleet for next spring.
